Despite the horrendous weather the last month or so the forecast now for my walk isn't looking too bad, but the reported flooding along the Thames suggested to me that I'd better have an alternative route between Wallingford and Goring rather than relying on being able to walk the Thames path!
The friendly staff at YHA Streatley suggested the 'Swan's Way' for that part, a route I'd never heard of before, but a quick google and up it popped. It's a long distance bridle route and runs from Salcey Forest on the Northants border to Goring, so that is now loaded to my GPS should it be needed on the day.
Not long to go now!
